Many parents can become overwhelmed when raising kids. Even parents of children that do not act out or require specialized attention can leave mom or dad ragged. This feeling of parental burnout can be a daily struggle, and many parents wonder how they can beat the physical and mental exhaustion and frustration that can accompany child rearing. It is important to recognize that almost every parent feels this way at one time or another, and it is not abnormal.

Balancing the challenges can be difficult. Many parents try to be super-parents and rarely take time for themselves. Understand that there needs to be a healthy balance between keeping kids busy and active and taking time to look after their own needs. This can help to relax and recharge overworked and stressed moms and dads, helping to make them even better parents.

There is nothing wrong with asking for help. Enlisting a babysitter, grandparent or friend to babysit for a few hours allows parents to reconnect with each other and themselves. Parents should not feel guilty about spending time away from their children, and should regularly plan for this. If this is not always possible, online support groups for parents can help, and allow them to speak with other adults to vent frustrations and collect their sanity.

Every parent has a different approach for dealing with issues. Sharing views and ideas with others can help find new strategies for everyday parenting, and there are unlimited resources available. Trying something different or new can sometimes help the situation, and sharing your ideas and frustrations with other struggling parents can help as well.

Working closely with others either in person or on an online support forum may shed a new light on the difficulties any parent can experience. Sharing the ups and downs of everyday child raising challenges with other parents is a great way to vent and can show parents that they are not alone.

Focusing on the positive can shed a new light on things. If a parent is feeling the exhaustion of burn out, it is easy to only see the negative aspects and this can escalate feelings of despair. Taking the approach to think of areas that the child and parent have succeeded may make the negative seem more bearable, and allows parents to celebrate achievements.

Raising kids is not easy, and every parent can feel overwhelmed at times. Taking new approaches and speaking with others will show moms and dads that they are not alone, and that there is help and support available. Taking time away from the kids to regroup, recoup and relax allows parents the opportunity to realize that the situation is not as worrisome as it may seem.

Just as butterflies go through a transformation, I feel we go through similar. Going from “responsible” parent to empty nest or is a metamorphosis in itself. I have decided to look at this as an opportunity to really lean about myself, the individual not the mother, sister, girl friend, or wife. I recognize that I now have chance to improve my current relationships with my children, family, friends, as well as new relationships to come. It is not the end of the world but rather the beginning

This particular parenting help is to lend you a hand in avoiding the slips ups that end up slowing down our efforts and working against quicker successes. When dealing with toddlers, regardless of the technique you are using for whatever situations, avoid these nine slips ups to help your ride be a little less bumpy and support whatever technique you are using for whatever situation.

Slip Up #1: Not Enough One on One

Make no mistake that family time is important but be cautious not to go overboard but rather concentrate more on having one-on-one time with each child. Professionals have always stressed to parents how children, especially toddlers love one-on-one time with their parents.

Simply get on the floor with them and play. No distractions, no TV, no telephone calls – just you and your toddler. Let him see that at that time he is the only thing that matters.

Slip Up #2: Being Inconsistent

Engraving your toddlers life with consistency is what will award you with a more durable and agreeable toddler. Toddlers especially thrive when they know what to expect. Like a consistent bath time and bedtime, and even what to expect when they are not behaving.

The parenting help to assist in fixing this problem is to keep regular routines for your toddler. Have a system set up with your partner ahead of time that both of you will use when your toddler acts up. Make sure your caregiver adhere to the same system and make it clear that regardless of whether she agrees with it or not she must follow the same system as you and your partner. Systems will change and be revised as your toddler grows through the stages of childhood.

Slip Up # 3: Too Much Explaining

Dr. Phelan explains that at the time when a parent says “No” to something, and the toddler insists, and then parent begins to explain, once again why – this is what Dr. Phelan calls the talk-persuade-argue-yell-hit pattern. The argument goes back and forth with tears from the toddler and further agitation building in the parent.

Once you lay down the law avoid eye contact. If toddler disobeys, give a BRIEF verbal warning. If toddler persists then go into whatever consequence you decide to use for this type of misbehaving, such as time out or, some parents will simply ignore their toddlers continuous demand once they have already laid down the law. This is the what I use with my toddler and it works quite well. I say it once, if she argues, I give a brief verbal warning, if she continues I ignore her demands within the particular situation at hand. Remember that toddler’s are not adults and are not able to grasp reasons for things so explaining is not accomplishing anything except frustration.

Slip up #4: Serving Only Toddler Foods or Favorite Foods

Feeding your toddler only fish sticks and fries or mac and cheese will prevent him from wanting to eat anything else. Doing this early on will cause you to have to break bad habits and enforce new ones which we all know is a tough task.

Encourage your toddler, as early on as possible, to eat grown up foods, healthy ones of course. If you do this early on you will find they are less reluctant to try new foods and will have a broad desire for different type foods. Don’t always fall prey to their, “I don’t like it!” Introduce new foods one at a time, if they resist, wait a week and then try again with that same food. Toddlers who are conditioned to eat the same kiddie foods, will often say they don’t like another food just because they don’t want it but after a few tries they will usually go for it and thus broadening their scope of meals. Picky eater toddlers are quite common so by introducing new foods at a regular pace you help them open up to different types and tastes of food. If they fight you, don’t make a fuss and don’t allow yourself to become a personal chef to your toddler as this will open a whole other can of worms you will have to deal with.

Slip Up #5: Lending Too Much Help

When you see your toddler taking time to do something or struggling a bit, think twice before you jump in and help. Constantly helping your toddler before you have given him a chance to succeed on his own is sending him a message that he is incompetent or incapable of doing something. You will also be interfering with their ability to become self-reliant.

Of course, there are times when a toddler does need help but give your toddler the chance to see it through on his own. When you do offer help, avoid completing the task for him. Only help a little and then allow him to continue on his own. Cheer your toddler on as he works at his task and encourage him not to give up. Children need to learn to endure struggle and persevere, an important parenting skill to start teaching during the toddler years.

Slip Up # 6: Potty Training Too Soon

Another very common slip up, parents inveigle their toddlers into potty training to soon. They tend to use harsh and abrupt reprimands which turn into a power struggle, putting a very negative, unhappy tone for their toddlers, which usually backfires and does not get the results they think it will. This type of behavior can easily cause the training to take even more time, making your toddler feel insecure and less likely to even attempt toilet use.

Parenting help says parents can set the tone for their toddler by introducing the toilet and briefly explaining what its use is. Consider showing your toddler how the toilet is used by using it yourself and he can watch. In good time your toddler will want to copy you, and at this point you can praise his wonderful new skill of using the toilet. Don’t forget to introduce the skill of washing hands along with toilet so the two tasks become one complete measure.

Slip Up# 7: Big Kids Bed Too Soon

I have always been puzzled as to why this slip up is so common as well.A baby’s crib not only keeps them safe but it also helps enforce good sleep and bedtime habits. Moving your child to a bed before he is ready will play havoc with his sleep patterns and put parents in a position of exhaustion when they find themselves in the position to lay in bed with their toddler until he falls asleep, or the other side of this picture is all too common which is toddlers waking in the middle of the night and climbing into bed with mom and dad.

When your toddler starts climbing out of his crib or asks for a real bed, this is the best time to begin the change from crib to bed. This usually comes between the ages of 2 to 3.

Slip Up #8: Allowing Too Much TV/Movie Time

Professionals will tell you that according to recent studies toddlers who watch too much TV often have glitches in their learning abilities later on. Too much TV also promotes laziness and you will find your toddler doesn’t want to do anything else but watch TV. Watching too much television is also associated with overweight kids in childhood.

Instead of TV keep your toddler active by helping him use his imagination through pretend play, creative games, reading, outdoor activities. Talk to your toddler to promote language, verbal skills, and listening. The less TV time your toddler has the better.

Slip Up #9: Handling a Tantrum

Here is a parent’s biggest nightmare, especially when it happens in public. Why? We feel judged and for whatever reason a toddler having a tantrum in public makes parents feel inadequate in their parenting, which is ridiculous because all toddlers have tantrums regardless of their mom and dad’s parenting level. There is no point in trying to talk your toddler out of his tantrum, and there is no point losing your temper because it only makes things worse and will make your toddler cry and scream even more. Remember it is your toddler who is most important and not people and their opinions. Not to mention most of these people have simply forgotten that they too were once in the same position as you, or they simply have not yet dealt with their child having a tantrum.

Ignore the glares; don’t even look around to see if anyone is looking at you. If someone has something to say put a smile on your face and ask them if they remember the days of toddlerhood. Then, take your toddler to a change of location away from the public eye and let the tantrum run its course. Once your toddler is finished his tantrum, give him a loving smile and hug and carry on with your day.

With this parenting help you now know 9 slips ups to avoid when traveling through the toddler years, helping to make parenting in toddlerhood a little less of a bumpy road and adding more value to your parenting skills.

Are you considering a big change in your career? Do you feel let down, bored, burned out? Maybe you think there is something bigger and more meaningful that you are meant to do. Perhaps your company downsized you into this predicament. Regardless of the reason, there are some common mistakes to avoid while you evaluate and select new career options. Avoid these pitfalls and you can stay motivated, keep your balance and move forward successfully.

Mistake #1 – Making Decisions in Haste

Tempted to just quit and wing it? Everyone is now and then, but unless you just can’t stand your current situation another day, resist! Instead, write down everything you hate about your current situation, then one by one, look at the most intolerable issues and see how you can turn each around to make it more tolerable for the present moment.

It is easy to get so excited about the future that you decide to forge ahead without a plan and hope everything naturally falls your way after that. It will require more energy to sustain your new career and make it work well for you than it will to identify and start it. It is better to come from a place of higher energy and stability than to start out already burned out or worried about how you will pay the bills. Consider seeking the help of a qualified career coach, life coach or career counselor to help you identify your next career path. An objective, trained third party can help you strategize and phase it in for the best results and the least amount of heartache.

Mistake #2 – Ignoring the Finances

“I can’t stand this any longer! I would rather eat dog food than put up with this another day!” Whether you are pursuing a new career voluntarily or involuntarily, you must pay the bills. Do pursue your dream. Do look for the career that brings out the best in you. If you have plenty of savings, good for you! Resist the temptation to go through it and be left without. If you have a dream, by all means hang on to it! But if it won’t realistically get off the ground for three years, find another way to earn a living in the meantime. The need for income is a reality you cannot ignore.

Mistake #3 – Filling Your Head with Negative Stuff

What do you read? What do you view on television or the Internet? With whom do you spend free time? When you’re looking at making big life and career changes, you need lots of positive energy around you. If you spend time with negative people or fill your mind with anything that isn’t useful, guess what? It fills you with negative energy. Instead, surround yourself with people and things that give you positive energy and encouragement. Read books that motivate and encourage you. Go places that inspire you. Do everything you can to be what you want to be like after you land the next great career opportunity, and you will be more likely to attract it into your life!

Mistake #4 – Getting Bogged Down by Decisions

If you’re an intelligent person who has enjoyed any measure of success, chances are there are a lot of different choices you could make in your next big life or career change. Clients often tell me they are overwhelmed by all of the thoughts and ideas that keep running through their minds. And as the overwhelm sets in, it is very easy to just shut down. As we work together, I remind clients when making tough decisions to ask themselves, “Is this going to move me forward?” If the answer is yes, proceed. If the answer is no, either revise the decision or drop it entirely.

Mistake #5 – Not Having a Plan

There are two reasons this is important. First, life is unpredictable and it is dangerous to relinquish security before the next career arrangement is lined up. Second, changing careers is a lot like dating. You are always more desirable when you are unavailable. You are more attractive to a prospective employer if you are already working. And if you have already lost your job either voluntarily or involuntarily, it is even more important to have a plan so that you are then more likely to achieve it. If you see success, you will be successful. (Conversely, if you don’t have a plan, how will you know when you’ve succeeded?)

Mistake #6 – Ending your Preparation Too Soon

All I can say here is, prepare, prepare, prepare. If you’re looking at several possibilities, don’t immediately drop one when another looks good. Think about all of the big tests you have taken in life (college entrance exams, finals, certification exams) and how you prepared for those. Did you study way in advance and take a big, long break before taking the test? Or were you still reading the material as you walked in the door on test day, wondering if you could still be better prepared? When you’re embarking on a new career or life change, give it all of your available energy, skills and attention. If you have a goal in mind, resist relaxing when you think you almost have it. Prepare and stay sharp right up until the day you start. This will help keep you from losing confidence at the last minute.

Mistake #7 – Getting Discouraged Too Easily

Does this happen to you when you face hurdles in the midst of your goal? Instead of giving in to the pain, pay attention to what specifically is making you uncomfortable and make adjustments to get you through. For example, if you’re in career transition and you find that it is painful to go through the tedium of making phone calls, sending resumes, going on interviews where the competition is tough, etc., find the formula that gives you a break without stopping the process. Try devoting an hour or two each morning to these tasks and letting it go for the rest of the day, or only making a certain number of phone calls or interview appointments per week so that when you’re finished, you can feel good about giving yourself some time off. Don’t stop. Adjust.

Remember, a career change is a life change. You didn’t arrive at your current level of education and experience overnight, and don’t be disappointed if you don’t immediately uncover “the thing” you want to do next. Allow yourself time and space to explore and make an educated decision. Get the help you need along the way (i.e., career coach, career counselor) to help you do it strategically, not emotionally. If you avoid these mistakes you are much more likely to end up in a new career that complements and fulfills your life.

Many women find that they can eat whatever they may like during breast feeding. Even though it’s true that some stongly favored foods can change the taste of your milk, many babies seem to enjoy the varieties of breast milk flavors. Occasionally, your baby may get cranky at the breast after you eat certain foods. If you notice this happening, simply avoid that particular food.

The most common offenders duing breast feeding include chocolate, spices, citrus fruits, garlic, chili, lime, gassy vegetables, and fruits with laxative type effects, such as prunes and cherries. You can have a cup or two of coffee a day, although too much caffeine can interfere with your baby’s sleep and even make him or her cranky. Keep in mind, caffeine is found in many soda’s, tea, and even over the counter type medicine as well. It’s okay to have an alcoholic beverage every now and the, although having more than one drink can increase your blood alcohol level, putting the alcohol into your breast milk.

If you are planning to have more than one drink at a time, it’s best to wait two hours or more per drink before you resume any type of nursing or breast feeding. There is no need to pump and dump unless your breasts are full and its time to feed your baby. While breast feeding, any type of heavy drinking should be avoided. Before you actually omit any foods from your diet, you should talk to your doctor. If you avoid certain foods and it causes a nutritional imbalance, you may need to see a nutritionist for advice on taking other foods or getting nutritional supplements.

There are no scriptures that would tell you what to eat and what to avoid during breastfeeding. However, it’s essential that a breastfeeding mother consumes a balanced diet, rich in all the vital nutrients. There are no do’s and don’ts about what foods to consume during breastfeeding and what foods to strictly avoid. Barring excessive alcohol and nicotine-related foods, there are no guidelines on the correct foods to eat during tfeeding. There is no cause of worry about the right food intake, as your baby’s reaction will help you detect what he likes and dislikes.

It is, however, important that you keep a check of your food habits during breastfeeding. This will help detect irritation-causing food items and would also ensure that you expose your child to a variety of flavors and tastes.

The following guidelines will ensure that your baby likes the taste of your milk and you have a sound sleep!

Avoid spicy food: Many amongst us would vouch that spices do no harm to the taste of breast milk. However, a certain section holds that spices interfere with the taste of the normal breast milk, causing mild reaction among the young ones. The same section also believes that cabbage, cauliflower, curries, chilies and excessive chocolates should be avoided.
Vitamin C should be avoided: Some believe that certain juices rich in Vitamin C like that of oranges, tomatoes, and grapefruit and lemon can cause mild irritability in toddlers. However, there is no research to support the same. The mother should take note of her eating habits and should discontinue a particular food item on noticing a change in behavioral pattern of her child.
Say no to caffeine and alcohol: Careful and restrictive intake of caffeine and alcohol do not harm the baby. However, excessive intake of caffeine and alcohol interfere with the child’s metabolism and with the taste of milk leading to irritable babies.
Avoid strong-flavored foods: It is important to avoid the intake of foods with sharp tastes and flavors. Such foods interfere with the taste of your breast milk, leading to its dislike by your kid. You must have mild foods that do not change the taste of your milk and which also at the same time ensure that your child gets a variety of tastes.

To sum up, there is no Biblical guideline that outlines the right foods for your baby. However, it’s pertinent to ensure that you consume the right food that matches with your baby’s taste. Also, ensure that you consume a variety of foods in order to expose your child to different tastes. Just make sure that you do not eat anything which has a family history of being allergic, which you can choose to rule out of your diet chart.

So The Mandate – Eat Healthy And Stay In Peace!

I am sure these useful tips would help you raise a healthy and happy baby! After all he’s a part of you!

Regardless of how handsome or dashing they seem, there are men out there that just are not ready for a serious relationship. They are not evil or anything. They may just need a patient partner to come in and show them the light. However, women avoid them because they still have some growing to do. Here are the main types.

1. The Man-Child
A Man Child is an adolescent with the adult look. This guy, regardless his physical maturity, clings on to a lifestyle of maximum fun and minimum responsibilities. Grand Theft Auto, beer and pizza are the major elements of his life.

It’s great to keep a young heart, but the Man-Child’s heart is not going anywhere. He lacks of the mental capacity of making a commitment and fulfill responsibilities. Women ditch the Man-Child until he grows up and learns how to live life in the real world.

2. The Womanizer
The Womanizer treats a woman like a princess and is the perfect lover. He dresses well and is out to impress and impress he will (every woman he comes in contact with). He of course, has trouble remembering his date’s name, birthday, or favorite music, with all the women he has on the go. And of course, he doesn’t want to be in a monogamous relationship and doesn’t believe that having a monogamous relationship will make him happy. The Womanizer gets women but can’t keep them. Women leave him as a relationship with him doesn’t lead to anywhere.

3. The Wandering-Eye Guy
Men are inclined to admire beautiful women, but the Wondering-Eye Guy’s admiration is disrespectful. He looks at every female – the bartender, the woman walking by, his date’s girlfriend – except the woman he’s with.

When together, a woman has to compete with the Wondering-Eye Guy’s attention. But it gets old really fast. If a man’s in appropriate interest, comment, or gesture makes the woman feel inferior or unattractive, she moves on. Even the most confident women want their men to treat them like they are the only one in the room.

4. The Toy Boy
The Toy Boy is obsessed with getting the newest and latest toys-the hottest phone, the newest boat, the fastest sport car. He has a lot of material things keeping him busy and has a hard time keeping his attention on women. The Toy Boy is like a kid in nature and only cares more about his gadgets than people, or his woman.

5. The Mama’s Boy
It’s not a deal breaker for a guy to live with his parents but it’ll be a big problem if he let’s his mom do his laundry, make his bed and cook his meal. The Mama’s Boy can’t take care of himself and delights in being waited on hand-and-foot. When being in a relationship, he expects his girlfriend to cater to them endlessly and doesn’t understand why that would be a problem. Most women realize that, instead of trying to raise the man, it’s better to leave the parenting to his indulgent mother.

Dating can be quite a sensational experience if you discover the beauty in dating. God created human beings with so much similarity and yet so much differences. This brings out the beauty in dating because we are eager to know about the other person. The soul searching and connection is amazing when it happens. It is very exhilarating to learn about others and appreciate how awesome and great God’s creation is. Each individual is a whole world in him/herself. He who has saved a soul has saved the whole world. This shows how great human being interaction is. Matchmaking services or speed dating are ideas which are good but a lot is missed out. Exploration of ultimate great entity which is a human being is compromised.

For there to be beauty in dating, there ought to be curiosity about the other person. Your dates will be continuous if you have curiosity to know more about your potential date. This builds relationships to unprecedented levels. The infinite curiosity about the other person’s life, work or family keeps the conversations going and help in choosing a soul mate. In a dating relationship where there is deepest level of the need to adventure, boredom will never find root. Conversations born out of curiosity enables two dating people to reveal their inner self without feeling the need to defend themselves. If there is no curiosity, an individual might feel like he/she is subjected to interrogation.

If we a adopt such a mind set when we are in the dating process, the beauty in dating will be well reflected in the exciting adventures which do not end after the first few dates. The Process of knowing a person cannot be rushed as it is the gradual expression of his/her inner self. It allows the dating partners to shine on each others lives resulting into a positive view of their nature. If curiosity does not wane and if time take its course, the beauty in dating is evident in the romantic relationship. The fun is not in reaching the destination but in the journey itself. If you enjoy every minute in dating and marriage, being a couple is not all important. If you are a couple that has problems in dating, getting married will not make you any happier.

How often do you stop and wonder at the beauty of this world? Are you too busy or mentally occupied for this? If you do not appreciate the beauty of your surrounding, you will rarely notice the beauty in dating. When you visit or appreciate something together with someone you love, the feeling is a wonderful one. Stop to appreciate how beautiful your brother or sister is. Sometimes it is not because of physical inability or disability but lack of will. There are so many beautiful things which can bring light to your world. You will remain in the shadow of darkness when you fail to notice the uniqueness in other people. Search the light of a girl’s or man’s soul in dating and you will have uncovered the beauty in dating.

If you are breastfeeding then you should avoid smoking as it causes health problems both for the baby and mother. All the poisons and toxins contained in cigarettes also goes to the baby. It has been seen that many women smoke even after they know its ill effects during pregnancy or if they are breastfeeding.

There are women who continue to smoke even during breastfeeding. Smoking and breastfeeding at the same time is very dangerous and must be avoided by the nursing mothers. Baby gets all the ill effects of smoking if 20 cigarettes or more than that are consumed by the mother daily. More the cigarettes, more the baby would be effected.

Heavy smoking also results in reduced milk supply in mothers. It also causes symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, vomiting, nausea etc. on rare occasions in nursing mothers who smoke heavily.

The risk is even more high if women smokes cigarette during or just before feeding. This is due to the fact that the level of nicotine in her milk and blood increases rapidly. Although it decreases over the time but is still harmful for the baby.

It takes around ninety-five minutes for the body to eliminate half of the nicotene from the body. This is also known as half-life of nicotine. Even if a mother smokes cigarette then she should feed the baby only after one and a half hour.

If we talk of smoking and breastfeeding then maternal smoking might result in let down reflex, inhibition of the milk ejection, lowered milk production and early weaning. Not only this, it also lowers the level of prolactin in the blood. Heavy smoking mothers are sometimes leaner and have higher metabolic rates than the non-smoking mothers.

Babies of smoking mothers who enjoy smoking during or before breastfeeding are fussier and colicky than those babies whose mothers are non smokers.

The baby should not even be exposed to any second hand smoke from the people who are smoking cigarettes. Many diseases such as SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), stunted development, respiratory illness and many other health hazards may occur due to second hand smoke.

Many people smoke and let others smoke around them even after knowing all these facts. They are very well aware of the types of tongue, mouth, lip, lung cancer etc. that are consequences of smoking. Even after so much knowledge these people are not willing to quit smoking.

Although a smoking mother is always advised to quit smoking but many experts agree that benefits of breastfeeding overcomes the results of smoking. So, even if a mother smokes, she can give breastfeeding. It would be better if she follows some time gap between her smoking and breastfeeding.

Pregnancy is a very important time for the health of your baby because the quality of the food you eat during this time is what will determine his health in the future. So, if you are interested about what foods to avoid and what foods to eat when pregnant please do continue reading, for this article will provide you with all the information you need.

The biggest mistake you can ever do when you are pregnant is to eat raw or undercooked meats, fish or poultry. So if you are the kind of person that likes to eat sushi every now and then, pregnancy is not the time to do so. Raw and undercooked meats and seafood should be completely avoided because they can contain dangerous bacteria such as salmonella and listeria. Listeria can cause blood poisoning and infection, while salmonella poisoning is also serious for the pregnant woman.

Other pregnancy foods to avoid are deli meats such as hot dogs and luncheon meats unless they are reheated to steaming hot. Deli meats can contain listeria.

Recommended foods to eat when pregnant always includes seafood, as it is considered a healthy food source, rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and other essential elements. However be aware that you have to avoid certain fish types such as swordfish, king mackerel, shark and tilefish, because they contain a high level of mercury. The safe types of seafood are shrimps, salmon and tuna, although you also need to moderate their intake as well.

Another food you must try not to eat when pregnant is liver, and this is because it contains very high levels of vitamin A which is considered a harmful vitamin when taken in large amounts.

Raw eggs are a pregnancy food to avoid because they may contain salmonella. Try to avoid the foods that contain raw eggs as well, examples are mayonnaise, hollandaise sauces and caeser salad dressing. Soft cheeses such as brie, feta and panela should be treated with caution because they can be made from unpasteurized milk; however you can eat them if they are labeled as pasteurized.

Washing fruits and vegetables is always advisable, but it is specifically important during pregnancy. Wash your fruits and vegetables thoroughly with running water and a little soap before eating so you kill the bacteria gathered in them.

Of course it should be completely obvious to avoid caffeine, cigarette smoke, alcohol and drugs. Please keep in mind when deciding the foods to eat when pregnant that everything you eat and drink will pass through the placenta and your baby will be drinking and eating the same foods with you. So, if you are drinking a glass of wine, your baby is drinking it with you, and while your adult body may be able to handle the alcohol and cigarettes, your little baby cannot, and this can lead to physical defects, brain damage, miscarriage or even stillbirth.

So you finally succeeded in getting that first date with your potential honey. Whatâ??s next? Well, you will do yourself a world of good to avoid making some common mistakes, which can make or break your day, and possibly your ego. In this dating tip guide, I have outlined 5 mistakes that you should avoid at all costs. Ready? Read on.

1. Flashing your cash at her

You may have loads of cash, or you may not have a single dime. Whatever it is, never try to use money to buy your dateâ??s love. This is the number one mistake to avoid on your first date. This is supposed to be a chance for you to find out if your date is compatible with you. You are not going through an arranged marriage, mind you. If it really work out fine, then good for you. But if it doesnâ??t, then you will look back on all the cash you spent on the expensive dinner, the movie ticket, the roses, the collar for her golden retrieverâ?¦

OK, so you might just be lucky enough to get a second date. You figured that you want to do better than the first date, so you bought her diamonds, a new golden retriever, a mansion, an island, and heck, you can fly to the moon and back. Your woman will be so impressed by you. Well, not you exactly, but your fat wallet. But when the money in it disappear, then she will disappear with it too. Then you go back into your shell, and kick yourself for being a sore loser.

2. Talking about another woman in front of her.

There are probably a thousand and one topics that you can discuss with your date, but the one thing which you can ill afford to bring up during a conversation, is the name of another woman. Never mind if you are drooling over Jessica Alba, never mind if it is your ex-girlfriend, never mind even if it is your maid. The bottom-line is this : women just donâ??t like it when they hear about another woman. Your date would expect you to be thinking only about her, and no-one else.

3. Shagging is on your mind

This mistake is just as disastrous as the first two. Talking about sex on your first date with her is an absolute no-no. Unless you want some spaghetti thrown at you, please do yourself a favor, and stay well clear of the subject of sex. Letâ??s face it. If a woman really needed some sex, then she wouldnâ??t even bother to go on a date with you. She would be busy in her bed. Get it? Â

4. Getting your hands full on her.

On your first date with her, make sure you restrict yourself to just a friendly handshake at the beginning, and maybe guide her by the small of her back while crossing the road. And when sending her back home, a gentle little peck on her cheek would do very nicely. Do not be a maniac, and move your hands all over her. Chances are, she will have the sheriff coming down on you in no time. So please control yourself, and your hands. Be a gentleman, not a moron.

5. You try to be someone you are not.

I canâ??t stress this enough. On your first date, just be yourself. Do not try to be someone you are not. If you are that sporty person, then so be it. If you are that guy of the casual look, then so be it. Never try to impersonate a Brad Pitt, or a George Clooney. You will only be making a fool of yourself. So donâ??t try anything funny. Just be your natural self. And also, do not brag to her about anything. Donâ??t tell her that you are going to fly to the moon, and bring it down for her. Remember, whatever goes around, comes around. And in time to come, you will find that your bragging will come back to haunt you. Â

There you have it. The top 5 mistakes, which you should avoid at all costs on your first date, outlined very neatly for you in this dating tip guide. Ignore them at your own peril. Because if anything goes wrong on your first date, chances are, you will remember this article of mine.
